Our mountain is described as the Land of Lookouts and Waterfalls.

In a recently published book of Springbrook, the title is 'Where the clouds meet the earth'. As a nature-based community, Springbrook prides itself on her natural beauty.

Springbrook is a unique area that offers a diversity of things to see and do by day and night. Apart from the spectacular bush walks and lookouts in our world heritage listed national park, you could visit a number of welcoming cafés and local art and craft shops scattered across the mountain.

Springbrook National Park

Dominating the Gold Coast's western skyline, Springbrook's cool forests and mountain streams offer views of impressive landscapes, and walks among subtropical and temperate rainforest, open eucalyptus forest and montane heath.

Springbrook Café & Bar

Located on Foresrty Road about 4 km back Springbrook Rd from the Mouses Retreat. First thing you will notice when you enter the café is the art works and antiquities on display and for sale. You will have the choice of dining inside or out on the verandah. If you choose the verandah you will most likely be greeted by the variety of birds such as Lorikeets, Butcher Birds and Magpies that anticipate being fed.

The Café has a great menu with all day meals such as The Big Breakfast , fish and chips , scrambled eggs on toast , calamari and chips and a great range of burgers. The bar has XXXX Gold beer on tap plus wine from O'Reilly's

Scuttlebutts Café

Scuttlebutt Café Restaurant is open for 'Dine-in' and 'Take-away', catering for lunch and early dinner. With full meals, light snacks, drinks and ice-creams, there's something for everyone. You can lunch with the beautiful birds of Springbrook on the open grassed picnic area too.

Dancing Waters Café

Located right next door to Springbrook National Park and the Purlingbrook Falls walking track, the café has been established for approximately 25 years and open six days week, closed Tuesday's. Opening times 10.30am to 4.30pm in the afternoons.

The proprietor Anastasia Theodore, who has been operating this establishment since late 2007, has incorporated her naturopathic experience to the menu. Anastasia provides a healthy selection of sweet and savoury foods to choose from including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free alternatives.

Fudge Shop

Springbrooks Fudge shop yummy fudge is made fresh daily. With over 35 flavours of freshly made fudge including alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties, there is a selection of gourmet ice cream, hot and cold drinks, locally made honey, jams and sauces, candles, body products, souvenirs and the popular Lemon Myrtle in store.

Springbrook Research Observatory

If star-gazing is more your style, visit the research observatory and be fascinated by distant constellations and close ups of familiar planets, through the largest privately owned telescopes in Queensland.

Group or private tours are available every night when skies are clear.

Natural Bridge & Night-time Glow Worms

A must-see is the spectacular Natural Bridge walk and cave. The water force and noise is impressive, memorable plus very unique. You may also wish to see the Glow Worm's inside the same cave. Allow 35 mins drive. From the car park, it is a 1.5km walk down to the glow worm cave. As glow worms are seen only at night, you must walk the track with a torch. Remember to turn off the torch at the cave to see the glow worms. Durning Summer you may see luminous fungi and fireflies.
